Every girl wants to feel pretty, sexy, and sophisticated. A girl would try on clothes and shoes of the latest fashion trends, buy accessories that would spice up her look, and even go as far as changing the color of her hair. I’m one of those girls who believe that hair is one of the most distinguishable features of a woman’s body and that just by changing the color would already get eyes and heads turning like never before. With the right choice of color and the right hair style to go with it, any girl could become the next Madonna, Angelina Jolie, and J-Lo.
But there is one problem that I would always have to deal with when it comes to hair and dyeing it and that’s choosing between being a redhead or a blonde. I’m a brunette and have always stuck with the same hair color and the same hair style ever since. I’ve seen how most of my friends in school would dye their hair blonde, brown, and red that I would wonder how it is possible to see which color would go with my skin tone, my hair style, and my head shape as well. Sometimes I would read hair styling magazines, check out pictures of celebrities that have dyed their hair, and would even cut out their faces and place their paper hair on my own picture to see if it will look good.
A redhead or a blonde – so far these are my top two choices if I were to dye my hair. Being a redhead or a blonde has its unique pros and cons, some of which have to do with how I look when dressed in differently colored clothes, how I wear my hair, if the color looks good with my skin tone, and the rest. At first going for a blonde look was what I was aiming for when heading to the salon, but when my eyes would catch redheads with long silky reddish orange hair I end up in another confused state where I can’t pick between the two. At one point I would suddenly feel that being a redhead is my calling, but after seeing several of the blonde-headed girls in school and how amazing they would look my mind would change all over again.
I guess it’s not really that easy to decide if I’d want to bleach or dye my hair red. I might go blonde for the first three or four months and then change into a redhead again depending on my budget and if I’m daring enough to sport that totally new look. What’s important though is that I still keep my hair healthy and in good condition no matter what color I decide to dye it into.
